This is a top-down global economist job responsible for global economic forecasts, interest rate projections with a view on long-term capital market assumptions.
You will actively contribute to the macroeconomic views of the developed markets and selected emerging markets. As a key member of the Monthly Investment Committee of the bank, you will be responsible for the Strategic Asset Allocation, Tactical Asset Allocation and investment house views of the Bank. You will monitor and respond to key inputs in terms of geopolitical, macro and industry factors that might affect key economic assumptions. Acting as spokesman of the Bank through timely and regular written publications, communicated via omni-channels, media presence, and conference participation, you communicate confidently and regularly in client meetings and events.
Pre-requisites
Trained economist with at least 10 years of experience in economic research within financial institutions
Excellent understanding of macroeconomics, multiple asset classes and the interdependencies of economic factors on investments
Strong analytical skills and intellectual rigour
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to work in a high-impact environment that requires strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Advanced degree in Finance or Economics. CFA preferred. PhD a plus.
Familiarity with financial software such as Bloomberg
